Who we are

MB Networks is run by a network architect with a background in designing and maintaining IT infrastructure for small and mid-size organizations. Over time, the work expanded from pure networking into web development and iOS software — a natural progression when you build enough of the systems that web applications run on.

We operate as a small, lean outfit. That means less overhead and more direct engagement with the actual problem — not a project manager, not a committee, just the person doing the work.

What we build

Our projects span a few different areas:

• Free web tools — The SysAdmin Toolbelt is a collection of 21 browser-based tools for network engineers and sysadmins. Subnet calculators, CIDR aggregators, RAID estimators, and more. All client-side — nothing leaves your browser.
• iOS applications — Native Swift apps for the App Store. Privacy-first design by default.
• QR North — A QR code generation and campaign management platform.
• MB Handmade — Handmade goods sold under the MB Networks name. Unrelated to technology, but still ours.

We also write. The MB Networks blog covers networking, infrastructure, development, and whatever else seems worth documenting.

How we work

Direct, documented, and deliberate. We keep things simple where complexity isn’t earned: static files where a framework isn’t needed, plain infrastructure where managed services add more friction than they remove. Systems built this way tend to keep running.

Client work follows the same philosophy: understand the actual problem first, recommend the simplest thing that solves it, then build it well.
