This policy covers mb-networks.ca and its subdomains. For iOS app-specific privacy policies, see the links at the bottom of this page.
We collect minimal data. Most pages on this site run entirely in your browser — there is nothing to collect. Where data is collected (server logs), it is described below.
What we collect
Nothing by default. The web tools at apps.mb-networks.ca process all input locally in your browser. Nothing you enter into a tool is sent to our servers or any third party.
Server logs. Like all web servers, our server records your IP address, browser type, and the pages you requested. These logs are used for troubleshooting and security monitoring. They are not sold or shared. Logs are retained for a limited period and then deleted.
Affiliate links
Some pages contain affiliate links, primarily through the Amazon Associates program (tag: mbnetworks-20). If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are disclosed where they appear.
Third-party services
The DNS Lookup tool at apps.mb-networks.ca sends DNS queries to public DNS-over-HTTPS resolvers (Cloudflare and Google), domain/IP registration queries to rdap.org, and IP geolocation queries to ipwho.is. No other tools make external network requests. The MAC Vendor Lookup tool uses a bundled local database with no external requests, and every Image Workshop tool processes images entirely in your browser via canvas — nothing is ever uploaded.
Cookies
This site sets one cookie, mbnet-theme, which remembers your light/dark mode choice. It's scoped to .mb-networks.ca (shared with apps.mb-networks.ca, so the choice carries across both sites), lasts one year, and is never used for tracking, advertising, or analytics. No other cookies are set, and no third-party analytics or advertising scripts run on this site.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, the effective date above will be updated. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
