PocketVNC is a VNC remote-desktop client developed by MB Networks. This policy explains what data the app handles. In short: we do not run any servers that collect your data, and your connection details stay on your device.

Information stored on your device

We do not operate any account system or backend, so this information is not uploaded to us or to any third party by the app.

VNC connections

When you connect to a VNC server, the app communicates directly between your device and the server you chose. We are not a party to that connection and do not see, route, or store its contents. Where the server supports it, connections can be encrypted using VeNCrypt/TLS.

Advertising

The free version of the app displays advertisements supplied through Unity LevelPlay (Unity Technologies), which mediates the Unity Ads and ironSource Ads networks.

To select and measure ads, these services may collect your device’s advertising identifier (only with your permission — see below), ad and app interaction data, IP address, and general device information. They also collect performance and diagnostic data, which is not used to track you. Unity’s privacy policy is at unity.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Your advertising identifier and App Tracking Transparency

Before any ad is requested, the app asks your permission to use your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA), using Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can decline. If you do, the app still works exactly the same and still shows ads — they are simply general ads rather than ones selected for you. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Ad privacy choices

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the app asks on first launch whether you consent to personalized advertising, and passes your answer to the advertising network. You can review or change that answer at any time from the app’s Settings screen, under “Ad Privacy Choices”.

If you are a California resident, you may direct us not to sell or share your personal information; the app transmits that signal to the advertising network on your behalf.

Install measurement

The app participates in Apple’s SKAdNetwork, a privacy-preserving framework that lets advertisers measure whether an ad led to an app install. Apple sends those advertisers limited, aggregated reports. No personal information about you is shared this way, and it does not depend on your advertising identifier.

Removing ads

Subscribing to PocketVNC Pro removes all advertisements from the app.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment information. Apple provides us only with anonymized purchase and subscription status needed to enable the features you bought.

Data we collect

We, the developer, do not collect personal information from the app. Any data processing is performed by the third parties named above — Unity Technologies (Unity LevelPlay, which mediates Unity Ads and ironSource Ads) and Apple — under their own privacy policies. Unity’s is at unity.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date.
